Virtual Flight Operations

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for virtual flights

Standard Operating Procedures or as commonly abbreviated to SOP's are what keep an organization or in this case a virtual airline running smoothly.  SOP's outline step by step instructions to ensure that everyday operations are being performed consistently by all members. Here at American Virtual Airlines, we want to make our SOP's easily understandable and easy to navigate so that all pilots are able to efficiently and safely do what you came here to do, fly.

Virtual communication protocols

All pilots are expected and required to maintain a professional and civil demeanor with communicating with Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Handling virtual emergencies

We understand that some of our virtual pilots enjoy as much realism as they can fit in and in some cases that may be in flight emergencies. Real-world in-flight emergencies happen almost every day and can range from engine failure to a sick passenger at American Virtual diversions due to in flight emergencies are permitted, although they are permitted, we evaluate each flights emergency on a case-by-case basis with the information provided by the pilot during the pilot report in the comments of your SmartCARS3. This is NOT to be abused and needs to remain a very limited occurrence.
