This code servessets to setthe minimum standards of conductbehavior torequired whichof all membersmembers. ofIts American Virtual (AAVA) are required to adhere to. The codepurpose is not designed to confinelimit or restrict our member'smember activities, but ratherto ensure that AAVA remains a safe, friendly, and funenjoyable environment for all.everyone.
Submission of a pilot application and acceptance into the organization signifies your agreement to read, review, and abidecomply bywith all partscomponents of ourthe codeCode of conduct.Conduct. Failure to follow any section willmay result in disciplinary actionaction, up to,to and including,including termination.
It is important to note that thisThis code is not all-inclusive;inclusive. noNo listingset of rules can coveraddress every conceivablepossible circumstance.situation. Therefore,Members membersare shouldexpected alwaysto use good judgment and common sense in anyall situationcircumstances. they find themselves in. 4.2 Code of Conduct Contents

Participation in any of the followingactivities listed below constitutes a violation of the AAVA Code of Conduct.
Members may not, under any circumstances:

Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise violate the legal rights of

Publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate
anyinappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, or unlawfultopic,contentname, material, or information toin any AAVAvenue.venue (Toincludingincludepornographicpornographic/or sexually explicitmaterials)material) -

Hacking, or attempting to hack, any of AAVA'sAAVA online systemssystem will result in immediate termination of membership.
4.2.1 Forums
The forums are a place for friendly discussion, debate, and making new friends. They are not the place for inappropriate or aggressive arguments of any sort. Any persons found to be engaging in aggressive arguments on the forum will be subject to receipt of a code of conduct violation.
4.2.2 Discord
All members of the organization are welcome and encouraged to utilizeparticipate on Discord. DuringWhile yourengaging chattingin chats and discussions on Discord,discussions, you are expected to respecttreat all members participatingwith in the conversation.respect. We encouragesupport freeopen thoughtconversation and free expressionexpression, (you may discuss yourincluding personal views)viewpoints, but needmembers tomust knowrecognize when toa stop and whattopic is appropriateinappropriate, escalating, or not.no longer suitable for the environment.
Comments classifiedthat asare derogatory totoward any groupgroup—including, of people, including bybut not limited toto, anythose based on race, sexual orientation, political/political or religious affiliation, and/gender, or nationality, nationality—will not be tolerated. Harassment, name-calling, constantexcessive channel switching, spamming, etc.or willother notdisruptive bebehavior tolerated.is strictly prohibited. Always aim to be positive, be friendly, and be helpful. BringContribute to the community, community—do not subtract!detract from it.
If youra conversation is limited toinvolves only certaina memberssmall connectedgroup toof themembers, server, you shouldplease move to another channel. In othergeneral, words,each trychannel should maintain a single main conversation to haveavoid oneconfusion conversationand per channel.disruption.
IfMembers youwho are unablefail to follow theDiscord rules on Discord, you willmay be warned, kickedremoved from a channel, or temporarily banned from the serverserver. entirelyThe forduration aof period.any That periodban will vary in length dependingdepend on the natureseverity of the offense. AbusingAbuse of Server Administrator (SA) privileges will result in an immediate suspension.
Members deciding to useusing Discord must usedisplay their Pilot I.D.ID along withand the name registered with American Virtual as their "nickname" on the Discord servernickname (Example: EX: AAL123 John Smith)Smith). personalPersonal nicknames and/or other names not registered with American Virtual willare not be allowed.permitted. Any member who's not in compliance will have their nickname changed to complymeet requirements or couldmay resultbe in being kickedremoved from the Discordserver. serverAll and actionactions taken will be noteddocumented in the pilot'pilot’s personnel file.
4.3 Disciplinary Procedures
If any member intentionally violates any sectionssection of the AAVA Operations Manual or Code of Conduct, the following disciplinary actions will occur:
FIRSTFirstOFFENSEOffense --- A verbal warningthatwillcomesbefromissued by theoffender'member’s Vice President of Operations.(The VP will notifyHRHuman Resources of the action taken, anditthe incident will benoteddocumentedonin theoffender'member’s personnelfile)file.SECONDSecondOFFENSEOffense --- A 14-day account suspension will be issued by the Chief Human ResourcesOfficerOfficer.and aA written letter of reprimandsentwill be provided to theoffendermemberinforming them ofoutlining the repeat violation and explaining the consequences of a3rdthirdoffenseoffense.THIRDThirdOFFENSEOffense ---AutomaticThesuspensionmemberformwill be automatically suspended from theWebsite,website,Forums,forums, Discordchannel,server, ACARS, and all other company-related resourcesuntilpendingreviewedreview by the Disciplinary Board.
Disciplinary Board Review
The Disciplinary Board, appointed by the CEO and rotatingrotated regularly, will meet within one week of the offenseoffense. andThe board will request the presence of the offending member on Discord in a private room. *The board will interview the membersmember and consider allany mitigating circumstances ofrelated to the offense.violation.
Once the interview is complete, the Boardboard will determine the necessaryappropriate consequencesconsequences, (if any) that should be taken against the member. The board will draftany, and forward its recommendations to the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer for review. The CEO will makeissue a final decision on the matter within 24 hours.
The CEO has the authority to executeimpose any level of punishment (up to and including termination)termination. butWhile the CEO will primarily consider the recommendationsboard's ofrecommendations, the board.final decision rests solely with the CEO. Once a decision ishas been made, the CEO will notify the CHROChief Human Resources Officer, who will contact the member to inform him/her ofcommunicate the final decision,outcome executingand implement the consequencesdisciplinary as published.action.
Member Participation
*TheIf offenderthe member wishes to defend themselves or present evidence or testimony, they must meet with the Disciplinary Board on DiscordDiscord. if he/she desires to defend him/herself and present any evidence or testimony on the issue. E-mailEmail correspondence is not permissible.permitted.
If youthe waivemember yourwaives the right to an interview, youthey are signifying youracknowledging acceptance of whatever disciplinary action is levied against youimposed and understand that youthey will not be able to appeal the final decision.
